9.      WSSC Presentation
Decision Required: Whether to approve.

The Mayor has added this item to the agenda to allow WSSC to present their plans for upcoming work within the Town of Cheverly.

10.     PROCLAMATION DESIGNATING PEACE MONTH
Decision Required: Whether to approve.

The Mayor and Council have traditionally proclaimed May as Peace Month.

11.     PUBLIC COMMENT ON FUTURE CABLE NEEDS
Decision Required: None.

The Mayor will invite public comment regarding the future cable television needs for the Town of Cheverly as part of its preparatory work for the negotiation of a new cable television franchise agreement.

12.     INTRODUCTION FY13 OPERATING BUDGET AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROG.
Decision Required: None.

The Town Administrator will address by giving a preliminary overview of the proposed budget.

13.     ADOPTION CAR-1-12 AMENDING THE TAX CAP
Decision Required: Whether to approve.

        The Town Council will consider raising the Tax Cap from .58 per $100 dollars of assessed value to up to 1.50 per $100 of assessed value. ~This action is being  considered to allow the town    flxibility      in administering tax rates by zoning category (Residential, Industrial, Commercial and Apartments). ~~Other  Municipalities have implemented this type of structure. ~Raising the tax cap will enable the       T       own Council to consider implementing a variable tax structure by zoning category as it considers the 2013 Budget. ~~

14.     INTRODUCTION O-1-12 AMENDING THE STREET SECTION
Decision Required: Whether to move to second reading.

The Mayor has Town Council have agreed to implement a permit requirement for public utilities if the need to cut/dig/disrupt the public rights-of-ways.  In order to implement this program, the exemption for public utilities must be amended from the Town Code.
